Forming a dramatic border between France and Italy, this mind-blowing landscape linked by a labyrinth of amazing trails, is a mountain biker’s “Shangri-la”. The grandeur of the scenery is truly breathtaking, with routes that will test your biking skills to the full. Pristine trails await, providing an Alps adventure that until now you have only dreamt of.

To maximise the biking on offer, we’ll stay and bike on both sides of the border. The alpine town in Val Cenis is our French base from where tremendous routes take us through the snowcapped mountains and glacial landscape of the Vanoise National Park.

With challenging singletrack and technical descents, weaving our way over 2,000 metre passes, past hanging glaciers, and around stunning alpine lakes.

Mid-point of the mountain biking holiday, we take an ancient roman military trail to lofty mountain refuges where we stay for two nights – be prepared for some spectacular views.

Our mountain biking holiday continues as we ride over into Italy via a 2,700 metre pass, retracing Hannibal’s heroic steps. Val di Susa is our new home and the biking here is even more spectacular with the highlight the 2000m descent of the Col delle Finestre to Mena di Susa.

Here we experience first hand the warm hospitality of our Agriturismo hosts, and the delights of their fine Italian cuisine.
