The Alpine mountain biking self-guided holiday is a perfect mountain biking short break for those looking for a mid-level biking adventure. Forming a dramatic border between France and Italy, the Alpine landscape of Val di Susa in Italy is linked by a labyrinth of amazing and pristine trails for you to explore at your own pace in this self guided adventure. With maps, route notes, accommodation and great food all provided by our local guide and host, this short break is a true bikers great "escape".

Our accommodation, set in a traditional village not far from Susa, below the majestic Savoi Alps and National park of Orsiera, is a beautifully renovated Mill where you can relax and unwind after your days of mountain biking holiday. Trails start on your doorstep so you can ride out every morning and explore the mountain trails and amazing singletrack in this beautiful Alpine setting.

This region not only offeres fantastic mountain biking routes but also boasts a selection of quality wines and cheeses which you will no doubt have chance to savour during your visit. And with Gisella’s delicious home cooked food provided in this idyllic setting, you have all the ingredients for a perfect short break.

Riding / Trails :

The Short break is set in the lower parts of the Alps, so riding involves a fair bit of climbing to get beyond tree line and to the Alpine scenery. The routes are 50% singletrack 50% dirt roads/tarmac. There are sections of dirt roads/tarmac to link up tracks, or to reach altitude for superb singletrack descents.
