Join us on our unique mountain biking / cycling holiday that explores the smallest and most diverse state of India - Sikkim. Lying to the east of Nepal, this former kingdom is dramatically positioned at the base of the Himalayas. Sikkim is rich in culture and heritage, and during the holiday, you will discover the many delights of this exceptional hidden gem.

The main peak of the Himalayas in Sikkim is Kanchenjunga, which at over 8,500 metres makes it the third highest mountain in the world. Although we won’t be attempting to ride up it, you will experience the breathtaking views of this majestic peak throughout the trip. During your cycling, we’ll bike from the lush sub-tropical rain forests right into the highest terrain of the earth on an exploration that will take us through picturesque meadows, rural villages and along impressive hillsides.

Along the way we will visit the outstanding monasteries of the Rumtek, Pemayangtse, and Dubdi. We will also get the opportunity to visit the sacred Kachiuri Lake as well as the bustling town of Gangtok; the new capital of Sikkim. We finish our journey with a final day of riding to Darjeeling. Here we’ll be setting our alarm clocks for ‘very early’ for the superb sunrise at Tiger Hill, and hopefully a glimpse of Everest.
