The Howgills

The perfect UK Mountain Bike Weekend for those who are looking for a biking challenge. On the fringes of the Lake District, the Howgills are overlooked by most bikers and boy are they loosing out!

Based around the market town of Sedbergh our riding takes in some dramatic scenery and the quality of the trails demand not to missed. The serpentine singletrack which cuts through Bowerdale is one of the best natural singletrack biking sections in the country and the climb and the corking decent of ‘the Calf’ ridge at 675m will have you grinning from ear to ear.

Riding from our accommodation in Sedburgh, we take in the beauty of the area and sample virtually all types of off-road riding.

With its plethora of great local pubs and freindly B&B's this is the perfect base from which to ride from and also offers a little luxury at the end of a day’s ride.

Evening meals on Friday and Saturday are taken at great pubs, brimming with character and no doubt accompanied with a few local ales and tales or the ride taken and of that still to come!!

If you've got a group of six or more and looking to do your 'own' weekend here or elsewhere in the UK, then contact us with your dates and we'll soon have you Skedaddlin' !!
