Encouraging Cycling as an everyday activity

Our passion for cycling extends to promoting cycling in our daily activities, it’s great for your health, the environment and keeps you fit for that next cycling holiday!

As part of our commitment to supporting cycling and reducing our impact on the planet, we are now working with Sustrans to invest in reducing overall CO2 emissions generated by UK travel.

For every mile our customers cycle on our holidays on the National Cycle Network we will donate 5p to Sustrans.

In 2009 this donation was equivalent to paying the costs for four volunteer rangers, who give their time to maintain the National Cycle Network, for a whole year

In addition we have introduced an optional supplement for all tours, so that you can now opt to donate to Sustrans and contribute towards reducing carbon emissions.

Sustrans is the UK’s leading sustainable transport charity, working on practical projects to help people choose to travel in ways which benefit their health and the environment.

Donate to Sustrans and invest in reducing carbon emissions, and help develop the UK’s National Cycle Network.

Sustrans is the charity which works in hundreds of communities throughout the UK, encouraging sustainable travel. One of these projects is the National Cycle Network; 12,000 miles of signed cycling and walking routes covering the length and breadth of the UK. One third of this network is traffic-free and three quarters of the UK population now live within two miles of a National Cycle Network route. There are now over 1 million journeys on the NCN every day.

By donating to Sustrans you can help them expand the Network and invest in a project right here on your doorstep; a project which encourages and enables more people to travel more sustainably in their local area and one which benefits millions of people everyday.
